Rossmann – Magento 2 Migration and Integration

Project Overview

We have been working continuously with Rossmann since 2018,
having launched our e-commerce operations in Turkey in collaboration with MNM. The e-commerce
infrastructure, which was maintained with Magento Open Source 1.9.x for three years, has been rebuilt on
Magento 2 to enhance the customer experience. With the new system, user-centric improvements and
comprehensive integrations have been implemented.

Solution

Technical Migration and Infrastructure

The Magento 1 system was analyzed and restructured to align with the new platform. Order, product, customer,
and campaign data were migrated in a controlled manner. After completing system tests, the new structure was
successfully launched.

System Integrations

With the new infrastructure, comprehensive integrations were implemented across both operational and
marketing systems:

  • ERP and CRM integrations: Customer, order, product, and stock data were synchronized
  • Marketplace connections: Integrated order and inventory management across multiple
    sales channels
  • Consent and communication management: Centralized control of GDPR and marketing
    permissions
  • Payment infrastructures: Card tokenization and mobile payment systems were configured
  • Return processes: User-friendly and simplified return systems were implemented
  • Marketing tools: Personalization, recommendation, and campaign systems were
    restructured

User Experience

With newly introduced features, the shopping journey became faster and more seamless for users:

  • Same-day delivery: Increased speed and accessibility for orders
  • Guest checkout: Enabled easy ordering without registration
  • Card storage: Secure payment infrastructure for faster repeat purchases

Testing and Go-Live

QA, UAT, security, and load tests were successfully completed. All transition steps were carefully planned,
and the new system was deployed smoothly.
